2.5.1. Check of level of oil
GENERAL INFORMATION

The probe of the index of level of oil on the 4-cylinder engine

 The probe of the index of level of oil is specified by an arrow.

 The probe of the index of level of oil (it is specified by an arrow) on the 6-cylinder engine of 3,0 l is in its left part.

Check of level of oil in the engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the car on an equal horizontal platform.
2. Oil level in the engine is checked by means of the index which probe is in the engine pallet.
3. Level of oil is checked before a trip or not less than 15 minutes later after a stop of the hot engine.
4. Get the probe of an oil indicator and wipe it pure rags. Insert the probe back into a tube against the stop, again get the probe. Determine oil level by edge of an oil film on the probe. If the level of oil is lower than the lower mark L, turn off a stopper of a jellied mouth on a cover of a head of cylinders and add fresh oil of the necessary brand to level a little below than the top mark F.
5. Upon termination of insert the probe into a tube of an oil indicator and wrap a stopper of a maslozalivny mouth (it is specified by an arrow).
6. Always support oil level between two specified tags. At excessive lowering of the level of oil insufficient greasing of the engine and its exit out of operation is possible. During excess filling with oil there is an oiling of spark plugs, oil leaks from under laying and epiploons develop.
7. Oil is subject to replacement if when carrying out on the probe (before wiping) firm particles are felt as fingers.
