| 1. It is best of all to check fuel system when the car is raised by a telfer or installed on supports to provide access to details from the bottom and as much as possible to facilitate works. |
| 2. If during a driving or after a car parking under the sun the gasoline smell is felt, the fuel system needs urgent careful check. |
| 3. Check, being under the car, a condition of a tank and a pipe of a mouth. Especially attentively examine connection of a mouth with a tank. Existence of punctures, cracks and mechanical damages is not allowed. |
| 4. Carefully examine all rubber hoses and tubes departing from a tank. Check reliability of connections, existence on hoses of wear tracks, a perezhatiya and other damages. Especially carefully check a condition of ventilating tubes and hoses of a tank which often wind a mouth and are pressed or get littered. Track a condition of hoses on all their length, to forward part of the car. Replace the damaged sites of pipelines. |
| 5. If after checks the gasoline smell is still felt, check system of catching of vapors (see subsection 5.13). |
