2.35. Replacement of liquid in automatic transmission and the filter

GENERAL INFORMATION

Works are performed on the cooled-down engine after recently made trip.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift the car and establish on supports.
	2. Substitute the pallet, turn off a drain stopper and merge all liquid, without allowing losses. Put a stopper on a place and tighten.
	3. Carefully remove the pallet of a case of transmission and merge the liquid remains. For removal of the pallet turn off bolts and in easy blows of a hammer displace, having opened consolidation.
	4. Turn off bolts and remove the filter from the block of valves of transmission (bolts of the filter of transmission are specified by shooters).
5. Check a condition of liquid. If liquid of dark color also exudes a burned smell, it indicates a transmission overheat. Presence at the pallet or at the filter of small particles of metal or frictional material testifies to destruction of details internal transmission devices (multidisk coupling). In this case it is recommended to hand over the car in car service.
	6. Wash out the pallet solvent and dry, remove the remains of old consolidation. Install the new filter, having replaced laying (it is specified by an arrow).
	7. Apply the RTV sealant roller on the demountable plane of the pallet, leading round openings from within.
8. Dress a hose on a branch pipe of the index of level and install the pallet. Evenly and gradually tighten bolts till the set moment.
9. Lower the car and through a hose on a branch pipe fill in about 3,5 l of transmission liquid the recommended brand is specified in subsection 2.1.
10. Transfer the selector to the situation Park and start the engine.
11. Transfer the selector to all provisions, again transfer to the situation Park and check level, if necessary add liquid, having brought level to the normal.
12. At the first trips watch liquid level (on heated-up transmission) and check existence of dribbles from a case.
