7.3.1. Check of driveshafts

1. Lift the car.
2. Examine driveshafts. In the presence of dents, cracks and deformations replace a shaft.
3. At detection of traces of a leak about transmission, a transfer case or a reducer(s) replace epiploons.
4. Check rotation of a wheel the noise proceeding from hinges. Believe a side play of hinges, trying to rotate a flange and a shaft diversely. Any notable side play indicates strong wear of hinges.
5. Check an inhaling of bolts of fastening of hinges.
6. Check greasing leaks from under the sliding connections.
7. Check a condition of half shafts, CV JOINTS and covers. Traces of a leak indicate replacements of epiploons the need.
