7.3. Cardan shaft and cardan hinges
Single-section driveshaft of rear-wheel cars "Toyotas 4 Runner/Hilux/Surf"
Forward and back driveshafts of all-wheel drive cars "Toyotas 4 Runner/Hilux/Surf"
On cars "Toyotas 4 Runner/Hilux/Surf" the single-section back driveshaft with 2 cardan hinges is installed. A forward shaft (on all-wheel drive cars) and a back shaft are equipped with the sliding shlitsevy connection. This connection is executed with a fork of the hinge at the same time and is part of the driveshaft. From a transfer case (on all-wheel drive cars) shaft fasten through the flange condensed by 2 epiploons (see subsection 6.3.2). At operation care of driveshafts is reduced to check of a state, verification of balancing counterbalances and their fixing, and also to cleaning. Greasings of hinges as a rule it is not required. |
