The electric drive of a window regulator provides rise and lowering of lateral windows. Switches, the relay, electric motors, a window regulator and wires are its part. The reversive electric motor is mounted in each door. The electric drive turns on or the main switch on the driver's door, or remote switches on each of doors. Lowering or rise are regulated by the provision of each of switches.
The chain of the electric drive is protected by a safety lock and a breaker. In each electric motor the individual breaker that at failure of one drive drives of other windows were not switched-off is in addition mounted.
The electric drive of a window regulator works only at the included ignition. On the most part of cars the blocking switch which switches-off electric drives of other windows except driver's is provided (on part of cars only of back windows). Below the general procedures of search of malfunctions which can be executed independently are described. If malfunction with their help cannot be eliminated, address to car service. If window regulators of all windows do not work, at first check a safety lock and a breaker.
If window regulators only of back windows do not work, check short circuit of contacts of the blocking switch. If contacts do not become isolated, replace the switch.
Check a condition of conducting between switches and a safety lock, if necessary repair. If only one window regulator does not work, check the main switch and switches of other windows (except driver's).
If the window regulator works only from one switch, check all switches. |
