Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover heads of cylinders of engines.
2. Install the piston of the 1st cylinder in compression step VMT.
3. Removal order: fixing of a spring of a gear wheel, removal of final, then inlet cam-shafts.
4. Combine tags, if necessary tighten a cam-shaft. Keep in mind that an external cam-shaft – final. The left and right parts are specified on the car course.
5. Attach an auxiliary gear wheel of a final cam-shaft to the main gear wheel in advance prepared bolt with a carving of M6 and 15-20 mm long (see rice. Fixing of the conducted gear wheel).

Prevention

Remove cam-shafts keeping their parallelism of the plane of a head of cylinders as the axial gap is very small and the slightest inclination of a shaft can lead to breakages.

6. Gradually release bolts of covers of a final cam-shaft as it should be the return specified (see rice. Order of a tightening of bolts of covers of a final cam-shaft).
7. Carefully uncover, keeping their horizontal situation and get a final cam-shaft.
8. Similarly release bolts of covers of an inlet cam-shaft as it should be the return specified (see rice. Order of a tightening of bolts of covers of an inlet cam-shaft).
9. Carefully uncover and get an inlet cam-shaft.
10. Repeat the same actions for the left head of cylinders.
11. If necessary accurately remove pushers and washers. Store all removed details as their initial installation, in special cash desk.
12. Sort a final cam-shaft for what clamp it in a vice with soft sponges for a six-sided neck.
13. A key with two persistent pins turn an auxiliary gear wheel clockwise (1), then turn off the auxiliary bolt fixing the main and auxiliary gear wheel and carefully weaken effort, giving the chance to an auxiliary gear wheel to turn counterclockwise, before liberation of a spring.
14. Take a lock ring.
15. Remove a spring washer (1), an auxiliary gear wheel (2) and a spring of an auxiliary gear wheel (3).

Check

The technique of check of cam-shafts and pushers differs in nothing from described in subsection 3.1.7 for 4-cylinder engines.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Collect a final cam-shaft.
2. Clamp a final cam-shaft in a vice.
3. Turn a key with two pins an auxiliary gear wheel and record a bolt.
4. Grease pushers and adjusting washers with molybdenic greasing and establish on former places.
Installation of an inlet cam-shaft of the right head
5. Grease the rubbing cam-shaft surfaces with molybdenic greasing.
6. Establish a cam-shaft in a head so that 2 dot tags were turned for 3 hours (towards a final cam-shaft).
7. Grease basic surfaces of a forward cover with sealant.
8. Establish covers, having turned arrows towards a belt.
9. Tighten bolts of covers in the specified sequence with the set moment (see rice. Order of a tightening of bolts of covers of an inlet cam-shaft).
10. Establish a new epiploon (see subsection 3.2.9).
Installation of a final cam-shaft of the right head
11. Grease the rubbing cam-shaft surfaces with molybdenic greasing.
12. Establish a cam-shaft in a head so that 2 dot tags were turned towards an inlet cam-shaft.
13. Establish covers, having turned arrows towards a belt.
14. Tighten bolts of covers in the specified sequence with the set moment (see rice. Order of a tightening of bolts of covers of a final cam-shaft).
15. Turn out an auxiliary bolt.
16. Execute actions in subitem 1-15 for cam-shafts of the left head.
17. Establish a gear belt.
18. Establish other details upside-down.
16. Establish covers of heads of cylinders.
20. Further assembly is carried out upside-down.
21. Start the engine and be convinced of lack of a leak.
