GENERAL INFORMATION

Regulator of pressure of the Toyota 4 Runner/Hilux/Surf car

The regulator of pressure is intended for change of pressure in a contour of brakes of lobbies and back wheels depending on load of forward and back axes. Load of a forward axis of not loaded truck exceeds load of a back axis therefore when braking pressure in a contour of forward brakes has to be higher than a contour of the back. If in the car there is a freight, load of a back axis can exceed load of a lobby. Therefore, the regulator of pressure of the considered cars provides redistribution of pressure in contours of brakes depending on freight.

Sensitive element of the regulator of pressure is the spring which stretches depending on freight weight. The initial tension of a spring is regulated. Dosing and perepuskny valves is a part of the regulator.

Repair setup of the regulator are carried out only in car service, it is independently possible to perform works on removal and installation (replacement). At a regulator rod detachment in case of dismantle of the back bridge adjustment of the unit is not required.

Prevention

After replacement of the regulator it should be checked at the special stand in car service.

Removal and installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car.
2. Turn off nuts of unions of the regulator, disconnect and muffle tubes.
3. Turn off a lock-nut and turn out an adjusting bolt on the back lever.
4. Turn off bolts and remove the regulator with an arm.
5. Installation is carried out upside-down. Adjust distance And, rotating a bolt. Remove air and a hydraulic actuator.
