6.1.2. A back epiploon of a check point (on rear-wheel cars)

1. Wear of a back epiploon in a shaft of a case and the plug (if it is provided), and also an epiploon and a sealing ring of a reducer of a speedometer is a common cause of a leak in a case of a check point. These details can be replaced without removal of a check point.
2. Lift the car. The leak of an epiploon is noticeable by oily deposits on forward part of the driveshaft, and also at a check point shaft end face.
3. Remove the driveshaft (see subsection 7.3.2).
4. Carefully displace a mud-reflector in easy blows of a hammer with soft the brisk.
5. Hook and carefully get an epiploon.
6. If the epiploon does not give in to removal, it should be got by means of the special tool (is available on sale).
7. Press a mandrel a new epiploon, watching that the epiploon came without distortion.
8. Napressuyte mud-reflector.
9. Grease vents of a fork and a shaft and install the driveshaft, without having damaged thus an edge of a new epiploon.
