5.11.3. Idling regulator (IAC valve)



Turns of idling of the engine are established
the manufacturer and at operation in normal conditions of their adjustment does not require. However, if the chamber of a butterfly valve changed, or there are suspicions that adjustment of turns of idling was broken (for example, the screw of idling was turned out from a chamber of a butterfly valve), the car should be handed over in service of car service.


1. Check operation of the regulator. For this purpose on the diagnostic socket connect a crossing point conclusions of TE1 and E1. Bring turns to 1300 rpm, later 10 sec. release the gate and check idling turns, – turns have to fall to normal (see subsection 2.1).
2. Disconnect a vacuum hose and reliably muffle. Start the engine, – now turns have to be 500 rpm, and the engine can decay. If turns are higher, in the regulator there is an air suction.
3. Establish a hose and remove a crossing point.
4. Disconnect the socket from the regulator.
5. Check resistance between couples of conclusions + B and RSC, + B and RSO.
6. At food of conclusions + B and RSO the valve of the regulator has to open.
7. If resistance differ from normal, replace the regulator.
8. Check operation of the valve according to the scheme, observing polarity of connection.
9. At food of these conclusions the valve of the regulator has to be closed.


1. Unscrew screws (are specified by shooters) and remove the regulator and laying. If necessary remove the gate case.
2. If the regulator changes, remove and rearrange the thermal vacuum valve on the new regulator (if it is provided).


Installation is carried out upside-down.
